My Wife

Look it's my special Lady. Isn't she cute? She is gonna hate this picutre, But it was the best picture that I could find.

I saw this 'husband tag' on a friend's blog, and thought it was a cute idea, however since I don't have a husband I'll talk about my wife. So, here is a little bit about my favorite person, my wife.

What is her name?
Karen
How long have you been married? 2 years and 6 Months in 3 days
How long did you date? 18 months, but I was her home teacher before that.
How old is she? 25, not really but I value my life.
Who said "I love you" first? I tricked her into saying it, but she still meant it.
Who is taller? I am - by about 3 inches
Who eats more? Are you kidding me! I can cook it, but I can also pound it down.
Who can sing better? She puts me to shame.
Who is smarter? Karen, hands down.
Who does the laundry? We both do.
Who pays the bills? We both do.
Who mows the lawn? We don't have a lawn, but I've mowed the lawn since I was 10 so I'm guessing it would be me.
Who cooks dinner? Both of us,but it's mainly me.
Who drives when you're together? I do. Karen doesn't like driving at night, or long distances.
Who is more stubborn? It's a mixed bag here. We are both stubborn about different things.
Who kissed who first? She kissed me first.
Who asked who out first? I asked her out, but she thought it was a friends only date.
Who proposed? I did.
Who has more siblings? She does - 3 sisters and 2 brothers

Want to play? TAG! You're it!

One Show America Needs

I don't know how many of you know this but I love British Comedy. The success of British comedy may have something to do with them playing against the stereotype of them being a congenial, and polite people.

Two of my favorite movies are "Shaun of the Dead" and "Hot Fuzz" both staring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. One thing that most British comedy lovers don't know is that they met and co-stared in a TV series called "Spaced".

Below is a clip from the second season of Spaced. You may also notice that the girl, named Daisy, with Simon Pegg, is none other than Jessica Hynes who not only co-wrote "Spaced" with Simon, but also plays Yvonne in "Shaun of the Dead".

You may notice that the title of this post is "One Show America Needs". I do believe that America needs this show, however I don't need a crappy butchered American version. We need this version. (For more on this look for "My Beef Number 2")

Enjoy.

Cats and their Engineers

I was reading one of my favorite blogs: Doobybrain.com and upon this site was posted a video that made me laugh so hard that Karen looked sideways at me. (needless to say it is funny. especially coming from a cat owner and lover.)

Well here is it.

Enjoy.

My Beef Number 1

Hybrid Cars... I HATE THEM!!!

Not because they are vehicles of the "Go Green Satan" known as Al Gore. But because the drivers are absolute idiots! I think that part that I hate the most about the cars themselves is that when they are driving through parking lots they are almost completely silent. I have almost been hit by one multiple times because I couldn't hear them coming.

I don't care too much about the appearance of the cars, except for the Toyota Prius. It looks like a mis-shapened pineapple with four wheels. The part that makes me laugh the most about the Prius is that the owners pay about 25,000 plus so that they pay less at the pump. But in order for the Prius owners have to own their cars for at least 15 years, before they can even get close to breaking even. But by that time they will need to replace the battery or other parts of their Green Machine.

My absolute favorite thing to hate about these cars is that the government sees fit to bestow on these Carbon Footprint Erasing people is that nasty little yellow sticker that allows them to drive in the carpool lane, because they don't use less gas and are there for able to have cheating privileges. However as every hybrid owner knows once the hybrid vehicle reaches 40 MPH+ the electric motor shuts off and the gas engine kicks in. Strange that doesn't sound like it's saving gas or the O-zone at all. Now does it? Prius' have also been said to get 40+ Miles per Gallon. But my 2005 Honda Civic (non-hybrid) gets between 35-40 mpg all on it's own.

The worst part about the government giving people these stickers is that they still choose NOT to drive in the carpool lane during rush hour traffic. No, that would be too awesome by getting out of the way. No, they choose to drive 55 in the middle lane, or if they are feeling really awesome that day they drive 50 in the far right lane, thus becoming a rolling road block instead of using the sticker that they have to pay extra for each year.

I hope that the Prius owners who read my blog get their heads back on their shoulders and realize that Al Gore is a bigger liar than Bill Clinton. And God Bless everyone who drives a sensible non-hybrid vehicle, and who doesn't get ensnared by the scare tactics of conglomerate companies, that constantly bully consumers into thinking that the world will fizzle and fry, and that we will all end up living on rafts in search of fresh water... Ala Waterworld.

Until Next time... That's My Beef!!!!
