Joke of the Week
So I was stumbling this morning, and I stumbled one of the funniest jokes that I've heard for months and months. I found the joke at http://www.michaelaulia.com/
Enjoy, laugh much!
For several years, a man was having an affair with an Italian woman.
One night, she confided in him that she was pregnant.
Not wanting to ruin his reputation or his marriage, he paid her a
large sum of money if she would go to Italy to secretly have the child.
If she stayed in Italy to raise the child, he would also provide child support until the child turned 18.
She agreed, but asked how he would know when the baby was born.
To keep it discrete, he told her to simply mail him a post card, and write ‘Spaghetti’ on the back.
He would then arrange for the child support payments to begin.
One day, about 9 months later, he came home to his confused wife.
‘Honey’, she said, ‘you received a very strange post card today’.
‘Oh, really? Let me see…’, he said.
The wife gave it to him and watched as her husband read the card, turned white, and fainted.
On the card was written:
‘Spaghetti, Spaghetti, Spaghetti.
Two with meatballs, one without.
Send extra sauce.’
HA HA HA.

My Book Box
I started (re)reading "Inkheart". Have you ever read a book over and over, and then you read it one time and things start to open in your mind. Well, this time around, as I was reading the book, something just struck out and hit me. Meggie, the daughter in the story, has a box of books. The books in the box are books that are her "go to books" the books that she takes on trips, her trusted friends.
So I thought about what would be in my box of books, my trusted go to books, that even after reading them a million times, I still find new insights into the story. Here are my book box choices.
- Ender's Game - Orson Scott Card
- Inkheart - Cornelia Funkë
- All seven Harry Potter books - J.K. Rowling (like you guys didn't know that)
- The Alchemist - Paulo Coelho
- And Then There Were None - Agatha Christie
- The Seventh Son - Orson Scott Card.
The latest entry into my box:
- The Looking Glass Wars - Frank Beddor
Well anyone who is willing to share.... TAG YOU'RE IT!!!
Till next time,

Ryan's Lost Theories
I love the show LOST. I also love listening to "Lost Podcast with Jay and Jack", and all the crazy thoughts and theories that are presented to us twice weekly. But I can't help but think that some of the theories are just flat out wrong. So I have taken the time to surf the lostpedia.com website, to find questions that I feel we really need answers to.
-Do Jack's tattoos really mean anything or were they filler?
Just filler... not very relevant to anything else in the story. Sure they translate into "Stranger in a Strange Land", but come on now do we really need to go in depth and find out why he has those? NO, because the island poses enough of mystery let along a some ink on an arm.
-Whose funeral did Jack go to?
There are a few answers this question and I will try to explain each to the best I can. We know that it is a him, and we know that the funeral takes place in LA. We can also assume that this person is either not liked very much or under a false name. (1)Ben. Living up to his word Ben in fact kills Penny, which he then is killed by Desmond. (2)Desmond. After Ben kills Penny, Desmond is distraught, and decideds to kill Ben. Downside being that Ben can't die and there for kills Desmond. (3)Feraday. He just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Why isn't it Michael, aka Kevin Johnson? Well when and if the ship explodes... Michael is blown to bits and therefore nothing can be buried, no? Why not Walt? Well Walt is currently living in NY with his grandma. So if it was him there would be at least 2 other people there at his funeral.
-Who did Sarah, Jack wife, leave Jack for?
Daniel Feraday? Yup that is right. It's Daniel Feraday. She leaves Jack for Daniel because she likes the nerdy types, and because she is feeling charitable after Jack saved her life (and walking ability) she turns and wants to help others too.
-Why was Kate in Australia?
She was searching for a distant family relation named Frank Duckett. Yes that same Shrimp Shack Owner that gets shot by Sawyer in the first season. He would be the one to take her in and help her stay underground for a few years.
-How did any of the Losties survive the implosion of the Hatch?
Charlie, Eko, Desmond, Locke, were at that time divinely saved by the island.
-Why did the Smoke Monster let Eko live during his first encounter but killed him during their second encounter?
Eko wasn't a threat until later. Eko was also needed in order to spur Locke into shutting him out of the hatch which in result caused the implosion of the hatch. Once this even occurred Eko had served his purposed and was then considered a threat. Remember the Smoke Monster is a Security Device controlled by Ben.
-Why is his nickname "Hurley"?
He had a problem with bulimia a few years before the Deck accident. BTW we will never learn anything else about the deck accident... not at least until the series is over and fan fiction picks up Hurley's story.
-Was Ben really coming to recruit Locke?
Yes, Ben knew that Locke was chosen by the island.
-If so, why was Locke not on Jacob's list?
Those on the list had a special purpose, aka the special purpose of Ben and the others. Jack was on the list to help Ben out with his Back, Sawyer and Kate where to be used as guinea pigs for Ben to see if two non-islanders could conceive a baby. Locke had even more of a special purpose than the rest, which is what we are seeing now in this season as well as the end of last season.
-Why can't the others multiply?
Same reason they can't get old. They are immortal. By this it doesn't mean that they can't die, as we saw last season, the others can die. It just means that they are stuck in a place in time which keeps them from growing old, and reproducing. The losties are not from the island and therefore not immortal so they can reproduce, as we have seen with Claire, Jin, and Sun.
- Will we see Mikhail again?
Yes. He is still alive and we will see him in tonights finale!
That's it for now... I don't want to unleash all my theories all at once... I don't want to seem like I can see into the future or anything.

My Wife
Look it's my special Lady. Isn't she cute? She is gonna hate this picutre, But it was the best picture that I could find.
I saw this 'husband tag' on a friend's blog, and thought it was a cute idea, however since I don't have a husband I'll talk about my wife. So, here is a little bit about my favorite person, my wife.
What is her name? Karen
How long have you been married? 2 years and 6 Months in 3 days
How long did you date? 18 months, but I was her home teacher before that.
How old is she? 25, not really but I value my life.
Who said "I love you" first? I tricked her into saying it, but she still meant it.
Who is taller? I am - by about 3 inches
Who eats more? Are you kidding me! I can cook it, but I can also pound it down.
Who can sing better? She puts me to shame.
Who is smarter? Karen, hands down.
Who does the laundry? We both do.
Who pays the bills? We both do.
Who mows the lawn? We don't have a lawn, but I've mowed the lawn since I was 10 so I'm guessing it would be me.
Who cooks dinner? Both of us,but it's mainly me.
Who drives when you're together? I do. Karen doesn't like driving at night, or long distances.
Who is more stubborn? It's a mixed bag here. We are both stubborn about different things.
Who kissed who first? She kissed me first.
Who asked who out first? I asked her out, but she thought it was a friends only date.
Who proposed? I did.
Who has more siblings? She does - 3 sisters and 2 brothers
Want to play? TAG! You're it!

One Show America Needs
I don't know how many of you know this but I love British Comedy. The success of British comedy may have something to do with them playing against the stereotype of them being a congenial, and polite people.
Two of my favorite movies are "Shaun of the Dead" and "Hot Fuzz" both staring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. One thing that most British comedy lovers don't know is that they met and co-stared in a TV series called "Spaced".
Below is a clip from the second season of Spaced. You may also notice that the girl, named Daisy, with Simon Pegg, is none other than Jessica Hynes who not only co-wrote "Spaced" with Simon, but also plays Yvonne in "Shaun of the Dead".
You may notice that the title of this post is "One Show America Needs". I do believe that America needs this show, however I don't need a crappy butchered American version. We need this version. (For more on this look for "My Beef Number 2")
Enjoy.
